Data Infrastructure Enhancement
We optimized an MFO’s data infrastructure, enhancing data governance and analytics capabilities. Our efforts ensured their Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouse investments provided actionable business insights.

This Multi Family Office (MFO) had implemented a data infrastructure, but were not able to analyze the data, let alone gain insights for their business. We collaborated with the MFO to optimize their data infrastructure and boost their data governance and analytics capabilities. Our priority was to ensure their Azure Data Lake and Data Warehouse investments yielded actionable business insights and intelligence.Key Contributions

‍Data Lake and Warehouse Optimization

‍We identified underutilization in the MFO’s Azure data lake and proposed a streamlined medallion model with bronze and gold layers, eliminating unnecessary complexity and reducing costs. This new model improved data ingestion, cleansing, and aggregation, facilitating faster and more accurate data retrieval for business analysis.

‍Enhanced Data Governance and Reporting

‍On our recommendation the MFO established a data governance handbook as well as a data council led by the Chief Data Officer (CDO) to enforce data policies, standards, and processes. Additionally, we implemented Power BI dashboards for advanced data visualization, enabling business analysts and management to identify trends, validate assumptions, and gain deep insights into operations.

‍Project Outcomes

‍Our collaboration resulted in a robust data infrastructure capable of supporting advanced analytics and reporting needs. The streamlined architecture and enhanced governance frameworks put the MFO in a position to fully leverage their data assets, improving decision-making and operational efficiency. Beyond these immediate benefits, our efforts ensured long-term sustainability and scalability, providing the MFO with a strong foundation for future data-driven initiatives.
